Forescout Announces New Vice President of Worldwide Marketing
Executive Joins Team to Extend Forescout’s Leadership in Network Access Control, Threat Prevention and Endpoint Compliance
Cupertino, Calif. – February 10, 2011 – Forescout Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of network access control (NAC) for Fortune 1000 enterprises and government organizations, today announced that security industry veteran Scott Gordon has joined Forescout’s management team as vice president of worldwide marketing. Gordon, an expert in marketing and corporate development in the information security sector, will be responsible for developing the global marketing strategy for the company’s CounterACT family of network security solutions.
Gordon’s appointment follows recent news of Forescout growth and profitability in 2010. In January, the company announced year-over-year bookings growth of 44 percent, as well as profitability achievement for the second half of 2010. The appointment of vice president of worldwide marketing will enable the company to further capitalize on the market opportunity for a highly automated, flexible and policy-based means to identify and preempt unauthorized network access, activity and malicious behavior while enabling access agility.
“Forescout continues to attract the best and brightest in the security and networking industry, and we welcome Scott’s addition to our team,” said Gord Boyce, CEO of Forescout. “Scott’s leadership, creativity and domain expertise will play an instrumental role to extend our global awareness and sales momentum.”
Gordon brings over 20 years of industry experience and accomplishments in global marketing strategy and execution. Most recently, Gordon was vice president of marketing at AccelOps, a data center and cloud monitoring vendor. Previously, Gordon was vice president of marketing at SIEM vendors SenSage and Protego Networks prior to its acquisition by Cisco. Gordon has also held executive and management roles at NeoScale, Axent, McAfee, Cheyenne and CA. He is CISSP certified and holds an MBA in marketing, as well as bachelor degrees in marketing and MIS from Hofstra University.
“Connectivity is as vital to any organization as protecting access to resources and data. Forescout’s proven means to enable accessibility, better manage risks and dramatically reduce costs offers a very compelling value proposition to both the CIO and CSO,” said Gordon, vice president of worldwide marketing at Forescout. “I am excited to be a part of the Forescout team and look forward to contributing to the company’s continued success.”
