Chairman of the Board, Co-Founder
Hezy brings to ForeScout over 25 years of technical and entrepreneurial experience. Hezy has co-founded several technology companies including TapGuard (acquired by Elron Software in 1998) and Top Image Systems (NASDAQ: TISA). Hezy was formerly the Chairman of the Israeli National Committee for IT, a member of the board of the Israeli chapter of W3C, and a member of the board of governors of the International Association for Pattern Recognition. Hezy holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Tel Aviv University.
Director, Amadeus Capital Partners Limited
Richard is a director of Amadeus Capital Partners, focusing on software investments. In addition to ForeScout, he serves on the boards of Celltick (mobile marketing), Nyx (intelligence physical surveillance), Openbravo (open source ERP) and Unruly (social video advertising).
Prior to Amadeus, Richard worked as a management consultant, a hands-on finance and business development executive and a turnaround manager. Entering venture capital in 1994 he joined Apax Partners, where he made a number of early stage investments, including Neurodynamics and Autonomy. Richard was subsequently employed as director of business development and finance at these companies.
Richard holds an MBA from INSEAD and a first class Maths and Management degree from Christ’s College, Cambridge.
T. Kent Elliott
CEO and Executive Vice Chairman, ForeScout Technologies
A high-tech veteran, Kent brings more than 25 years of industry leadership and experience to ForeScout. Before ForeScout, Kent has held a wide range of international executive positions, living and working in the United States, Canada, Asia (Hong Kong) and Europe (The Netherlands). His past responsibilities include senior vice president and general manager of Nokia Internet Communications, president and CEO of Vienna Systems (acquired by Nokia December 1998), vice president of sales and marketing at TMI Communications, a mobile satellite company, and various executive roles at Mitel Corporation including senior vice president of product management, general manager for the Asia Pacific region and head of business development for Europe.
While at Nokia, Kent grew the company¹s Internet Communications group into a world-class network security and virtual private network provider, creating a strong team and an effective global distribution and support network. While president and CEO of Vienna Systems, Vienna became an early global leader in the emerging Voice over IP market for the enterprise and alternate carriers. Under Kent¹s leadership, a strong team was created which developed award-winning products and established strong distribution channels in North America, Europe and Asia.
Kent holds an MBA from Queen¹s University, Canada with a primary focus on marketing and strategic planning.
A veteran of Deloitte & Touche LLP, Jensen brings over 35 years of public accounting experience to the board with an extensive array of expertise in accounting, auditing and financial consulting services for high technology companies. He was most recently appointed to the Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: LSCC) Board of Directors in June and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Unwired Planet, Inc. Jensen was previously an executive at Deloitte & Touche LLP where he held many positions including U.S. managing partner of Audit and Enterprise Risk Services, Technology Industry, and U.S. managing partner of the Venture Capital Services Group. He also served as chief financial officer of Redleaf Group and held an executive position at Arthur Andersen LLP where he served as managing partner of their Silicon Valley Office and leader of the firm’s Global Technology Industry Practice.
Managing Director, Founder, Pitango Venture Capital
Rami Kalish has a wealth of experience in venture investing and international management in the high-tech industry. He has been active in the venture capital arena since 1993, when he founded Polaris, and has served as the firm’s Managing General Partner since that time. From the very beginning, Rami Kalish was committed to a broader vision of value-added investing that offers entrepreneurs a close working relationship with experienced business professionals who can ensure long-term success for the company and its investors.
Under his guidance, Pitango Venture Capital has become a leader in the Israeli venture capital arena – joining forces with other leading VC principals, and creating an exceptionally well-rounded support and service organization. Rami has also been a driving force in establishing alliances with VC firms around the world and positioning Pitango Venture Capital as a global player in the global marketplace.
Prior to entering the venture capital arena, Rami garnered rich managerial experience at high technology firms in the US, Europe and Israel. He previously held sales and marketing positions at IBM and executive management roles at Orbot (now Orbotech).
Rami holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Information Science from the Technion Institute of Technology in Israel. He is also a board member of the Israel Venture Association.
Co-Founder, Aspect Ventures
Theresia Gouw is an engineer, an experienced entrepreneur, and successful investor in the new mobility space, focused primarily on Consumer, Social Commerce, and Security opportunities.
Prior to co-founding Aspect Ventures, Theresia was a partner at Accel for 15 years, with a number of successful exits, including IPOs for Imperva (IMPV), PeopleSupport (PSPT), Trulia (TRLA), and acquisitions of Kosmix (WMT), Xoopit (YHOO) and Zimbra (YHOO). Theresia serves on the boards of several private and public companies. She led the series A or seed rounds in several leading Mobile/Consumer Internet companies (Birchbox, HotelTonight, LearnVest, Trulia, Joyus) and Security Software companies (Imperva, ForeScout, TRUSTe).
As an entrepreneur, Theresia was founding VP of Business Development & Sales at Release Software, a venture-backed company that provided SaaS to enable digital rights management and payment technologies for the software industry. Earlier, she worked at Bain & Company and as a product manager at Silicon Graphics. Theresia holds a ScB in Engineering from Brown University, magna cum laude, and an MBA from Stanford University.
Managing Director, Bain Capital Ventures
Salem, managing director at Bain Capital Ventures, brings more than 25 years of executive leadership and business strategy experience to ForeScout. He has vast expertise working with high-technology corporations and is currently on the board at FireEye, Netskope, Atlassian, DocuSign and Biba. During his 19 years at Symantec, Salem served as president and CEO, chief operating officer and group president of worldwide sales and marketing, among other senior leadership roles with the company. Previously, Salem was president and CEO of Brightmail prior to its successful acquisition by Symantec. In March 2011, Salem was appointed to President Barack Obama’s Management Advisory Board.
Chief Strategy Officer, Co-Founder
Doron brings more than 30 years of technical and managerial IT experience. He is a leading authority in the Israeli Internet security and networking community. Prior to founding ForeScout, Doron has spent many years in the academic networking arena, and was one of the Internet pioneers in Israel – he was the the architect of the Israeli government’s secured Internet gateway. Doron has been providing consultation to various government organizations and companies and has been serving on the ICANN Security and Stability Advisory Committee since its inception. He is a co-founder and former president of the Israeli chapter of the Internet Society (ISOC–IL), which, among other things, operates IIX – the Israeli Internet exchange and the .il ccTLD registry.
