ForeScout Technologies Reinforces Leadership in Federal Government with Intelligent Decisions Partnership

Federal Government Seeks ForeScout's Network Access Control

Cupertino, Calif. — Jan 22, 2007 —ForeScout Technologies, a provider of tailored network access control (NAC) for enterprises and government agencies, today announced that it has signed a reseller agreement with Intelligent Decisions to significantly increase its presence in the federal government. The partnership with Intelligent Decisions, one of the fastest growing systems integrators in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, will provide sales, network security planning, and technical support expertise for government agencies. During Q3 and Q4 of 2006, ForeScout strengthened its position within the federal market with record deployments.

"As security breaches increase, the industry needs companies like ForeScout to provide scalable security solutions that interoperate with heterogeneous network architectures," said Roy Stephan, CISSP, Director of Cyber Security for Intelligent Decisions. "Our customers use ForeScout CounterACT to create a security baseline and deny access to systems that fail to meet the minimum level of compliance."

"ForeScout has seen an incredible rise in both interest and purchasing from our federal government customers and prospects over the past several months, and their needs require the best expertise and the first-class service from partners that they've grown accustomed to receiving from ForeScout," said Gord Boyce, global vice president of sales and marketing for ForeScout. "ForeScout is excited to partner with Intelligent Decisions as we further extend our leadership role in driving mainstream adoption of NAC throughout our federal government."

About CounterACT
ForeScout's CounterACT is the only non-disruptive, clientless NAC solution to deliver End Point X-Ray™ and Fast Pass™, eliminating the usual mandatory "quarantine upon connection" phase and moving users immediately into productivity. All security checks include deep interrogation for bullet-proof security, but are immediate, transparent and hassle-free to the user. CounterACT also enables extensive policy enforcement options to custom-fit network access control, and scans everything that enters the network. This means all laptops, PDA's, printers, and desktops are scanned by ForeScout's clientless and agent-less solution which requires no end point software installation or downloads. Finally, CounterACT ensures there will be no disruption to the network or normal business operations because it is not deployed inline, which means there is no need to upgrade or install new gear, and both the network and endpoints remain untouched.
