The Operational Technology Module v1.4.0 is now GA!
With this version of the OTSM Module, customers get:
- Compatibility with the new eyeInspect version 4.2.1 and its improved OT visibility and auto-classification
- Improved handling of eyeInspect Command Center certificates.
- The ability to configure the Asset Date validity, allowing to decide when older Asset updates from being sent to eyeSight.
What’s New?
Improved OT visibility & auto-classification
Forescout eyeInspect 4.2.1 increases greatly device visibility and threat detection reach with the additional support of 30+ new industrial protocols, improved auto-classification, and 140+ additional behavioral checks.
Improved CC Certificate handling
When adding an eyeInspect Command Center, the Operational Technology Module will now apply the default eyeInspect certificates automatically. This allows it to connect to a Command Center immediately. For deployments where non-default certificates are used, these need to be applied in the Operational Technology Module settings for the Command Center as usual.
Configuration for Asset Date Validity
The Operational Technology module was obliged to retrieve data for devices that have been detected on the network recently, up three days back. A new option is now available in the OT Module’s settings to configure this cut-off point. By default, this property will be set to three days. This setting makes it possible to align the cut-off point for new data with the retainment period that is set in eyeSight.
Supported Versions & Requirements
OTSM 1.4.0 is compatible with eyeSight 8.2.0, eyeInspect 4.2.1, and eyeSegment 3 and above. If eyeSegment integration is required, the minimum eyeSight version becomes 8.2.0.2.
Download the modules and related documentation from FLEX or PAL Customer Portals, or through the Updates Portal.
Please ensure the OTSM Module is only updated to version 1.4.0 after eyeInspect has been updated to version 4.2.1. Because check For Updates may offer this OTSM Module version before the eyeInspect update has been performed, it is advised to check the eyeInspect version manually before proceeding with the Module update.
