July 24th, 2017 Forescout released an updated HPS Vulnerability DB update (v17.0.7). The plugin pushes Microsoft vulnerability update information to the HPS Inspection Engine Plugin installed on your Appliances.
Updates are used when working with vulnerability policies. Working with this plugin makes vulnerability updates available to you soon after they are released from Microsoft.
We have found an issue with this update. If an appliance is rebooted or the CounterACT service is restarted on an appliance, the Compliance policies related to Microsoft Vulnerability compliance, are removed from the Enterprise Manager Console. In addition, the HPS Vulnerability DB will not show up as an installed plugin in the Enterprise Manager console. However, executing the ‘fstool sysinfo’ command on the CLI of the appliance shows that the plugin is installed.
We are working expediently for a resolution to this problem and will have a solution out as soon as possible via our download site: updates.forescout.com.
