The Unusual Suspects World Tour, i.e. ForeScout Best Practice Seminar is rolling into lovely Long Beach, California on Mar 22, 2016. ForeScout will have an incredible lineup of security thought leaders, local experts, channel and technology partners and your peers to discuss how innovative companies are transforming security through visibility. It will be an incredibly insightful one-day event. If you haven’t registered yet, click here.
Guest speakers will include ForeScout SVP of Products, Rob Greer and Jason DeMarco, CISSP, Director of IT Security Operations at MGM Resorts International®. Jason will be speaking on “In the Trenches with Today’s NAC”.
For those of you attending, here are some food and drink suggestions for the Long Beach area:
Breakfast before the seminar:
Wake up and looking California but feeling Minnesota? Get to the Long Beach marina and have breakfast at Schooner or Later. I’m sure the crab benedict or The Mess (no, really that’s the name for a cheesy, hammy mess of a breakfast) will be just what the doctor ordered…
Avoid rush-hour traffic:
Leave the seminar immediately after it ends and race to the The Attic (do not pass Go, do not collect $200). Order the Mac n Cheetos. What is that you say? Mac and cheese covered in crumbled, flaming hot Cheetos… Oh and add candied cayenne bacon and/or braised short rib to it. Killer.
Feeling dirty after the Cheetos heart attack. Take me to church… at the Congregation Ale House downtown where they have 30+ beers on tap and killer duck bacon sausages (we seeing a bacon trend here).
Not had enough gastropubby goodness? Grow a beard and become a hipster, then walk into Simzy’s. Everything is pretty much great, but I like the wings, fish tacos and brussel sprouts (because one doesn’t live on bacon and beer alone – although there is bacon in it).
Hopefully I’ll see you there.
All the best,
