Forescout is pleased to announce our partnership with the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This week, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NCCoE to formalize our already fruitful relationship. With NCCoE, alongside government and industry partners, we help refine existing security architectures and innovate to solve future cybersecurity challenges. It is truly a unique kind of public-private collaboration.
As part of NIST, which is well known for its widely accepted Cybersecurity Framework, the NCCoE aims to bring together the private and public sector to accelerate businesses’ adoption of standards-based, advanced security technologies.
We are excited about the opportunity to be a part of the NCCoE’s reference architectures. The publication of reference architectures provides organizations of varying sizes and capabilities fully-vetted and trusted real world examples of how successful solution sets are deployed. Forescout’s agentless approach to securing organizations and government agencies against threats that gain access through Internet of Things (IoT) devices connecting to the network is expected to have broad applicability to several forthcoming NCCoE projects.
The fast-changing cybersecurity landscape requires us to be constantly refining our tools and approaches. Forescout prides itself on our ability to integrate with other technologies and to collaborate with other top cybersecurity innovators. Further work with NCCoE is a natural extension of this. We are proud to help NCCoE and NIST set the standard for best practices in IoT security.
