SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — February 20, 2007 —ForeScout Technologies, a provider of tailored network access control (NAC) for enterprises and government agencies, today announced that Information Security Magazine readers have rated its CounterACT NAC solution as one of the top five finalists in the Endpoint Security: NAC category. Information Security magazine asked readers to rate the security products used and deployed within their organizations, and according to the magazine, more than 1,500 readers weighed in on more than 340 products.

Winners will be published in the April issue of Information Security. About the Readers' Choice Awards Information Security magazine and SearchSecurity.com have significantly revamped their product awards with the launch of the Readers' Choice awards. Nine months in the making, editors interviewed and met with technical editors and the User Advisory board to determine appropriate categories and specific criteria for the awards. As a result each category is specialized and weighted based on the types of products in that grouping. (Note: each category is judged by different criteria based on the specific market needs within that product area). Next, 3,000 Information Security and SearchSecurity.com information security executives and managers were asked to assess and rate products they deploy within their organizations from a listing of more than 340 products. Based on cumulative responses, Information Security magazine and SearchSecurity.com editors will award Gold, Silver and Bronze medals to the industry's best products in 15 categories. The newly-minted Readers' Choice awards will be published in the April edition of Information Security Magazine. |
