Clientless Network Access Control Expertise Furthers Security Standards Development to Support 'Deperimeterized' Business-to-Business Networking


CUPERTINO, Calif.—July 11, 2006—ForeScout Technologies, a provider of tailored network access control (NAC) for enterprises, today announced that it has joined The Open Group, and its Jericho Forum, in order to lend its expertise in clientless NAC to the rapidly developing NAC marketplace. The Open Group is a vendor and technology neutral consortium focused on open standards and global interoperability within and between enterprises. More than 200 companies have joined The Open Group, including Hewlett Packard, Cisco Systems, the Boeing Company, and Deloitte and Touche.

ForeScout will support the goals of The Open Group and Jericho Forum through its knowledge and experience of securing large enterprise networks and its intellectual property from both internal and external threats. Through its affiliation with the Forum, ForeScout will further extend its architecture to interoperate with the next generation of open standards.
