ForeScout and Apani Networks Forge Alliance To Provide Innovative Enterprise Security Solution |

BREA and CUPERTINO, Calif. — Feb 1, 2005 —ForeScout Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of network-based threat mitigation security solutions, and Apani Networks, a leading provider of encryption and access control solutions to secure data flows within corporate networks, announced today that they are co-developing a solution that will offer intrusion prevention capabilities not previously possible in an end-to-end encrypted network environment.
Until now, network-based intrusion prevention systems offered little or no protection for encrypted network traffic, or to the detriment of security and scalability, required some method of in-line packet decryption. This best-of-breed solution unites Apani Networks In-Depth Network Security (INS) System with ForeScout's patented ActiveResponse threat detection methodology. The combined offering will allow customers to leverage the industry-proven Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) for point-to-point communication without losing protection from malicious traffic (self-propagating malware or espionage).
