ActiveScout Management

ActiveScout's Site Manager and Enterprise Manager provide all the management and administrative capabilities necessary to ensure effective network protection. Additionally, because ActiveScout is not signature-based, there is no human intervention required for fine tuning nor installation of security updates.

• Easy installation
  ActiveScout appliances and ActiveScout Enterprise Manager are easy to install and require little user interaction. Configuration is very quick - usually taking less than an hour.
  
  
• Remote administration
  Site Manager and Enterprise Manager enable authorized users to fully configure and control the ActiveScout appliance from any authorized location.
  
  
• SNMP management
  The Scout supports read-only SNMP based management, through any SNMP management suite. Various communities can be defined, allowing read-only access to different parts of the Scout MIB.
  
  
• Granular user privileges
  Individual users can be authorized to access only specific functions of the Site or Enterprise Manager as appropriate.
  
  
• Configurable detection settings
  ActiveScout's default detection settings can be optionally fine-tuned to reflect the unique characteristics of the network and its surrounding environment
